Forklift
Trucks and Varieties
Forklift
trucks come in many different shapes and sizes for a variety
of uses. From super heavy duty, diesel powered outdoor use
machines, capable of lifting over 33,000 pounds, to light
duty walkies for moving loads less than 2,000 pounds, forklift
trucks are useful in any warehouse, shipping floor or outdoor
transportation setting. Forklift trucks are now designed for
any needs you may have. Some manufacturers specialize in very
high lifts, called turret lifts, to lift your pallets or other
pieces to the very highest locations you have.
If
your storage areas or racks are deep, there are forklift trucks
designed for you as well, called reach lifts; they are able
to not only lift and store, but push the items back into the
deep shelves. Walkies are self-propelled forklift trucks that
you walk along with, control speed, direction and stopping
from a handle. They are used for moving small capacity loads
to other locations close by, and have limited or no actual
lift height. If you do a lot of transportation outdoors, a
rough terrain forklift truck may be the option you need, they
have rugged pneumatic tires that are puncture resistant for
uneven ground, and are more durable than strictly indoor use
forklifts.
